France Passion in a Campervan!

We often mention “France Passion” in our blogs but we have good reason because it really is a brilliant programme and we get great feedback about it from our clients.

Membership of France Passion entitles you to park free of charge in your campervan at overnight halts all over France.

You are welcomed at vineyards, farms and many other locations provided by interesting hosts from craftspeople to restaurants. The scheme is solely for people driving campervans and motorhomes and each host offers their land for free. You can pitch up overnight on the understanding that you’ll say “Hello” when you arrive and “Goodbye” when you leave.

Sometimes you can sample their wine, eat at their bistro or buy some of their homegrown produce and crafts too.

France Passion allows you to immerse yourself in the real France. You’ll meet people who genuinely want to meet you and who want to tell you about their lives, the history of their area and the things they grow or make.

You’ll get to try their produce and find out more about France and its food than you ever could by visiting a tourist restaurant in a busy resort.

So what’s the catch?  There genuinely isn’t one, it is a simply brilliant scheme, membership of which comes free with every campervan or motorhome you hire from us.

We visited the France Passion site nearest to our depot last week and it was no surprise to us that we were graciously welcomed and indulged as we tasted their award-winning Burgundy wines.

Less than 30 minutes from our base, Domaine Alain Vignot at Paroy-sur-Tholon produces a sublime selection of keenly priced reds, rosés, whites and sparkling wines.

Mme Vignot is happy to host a wine tasting in their clean and cool salon and as you can actually stay on site in your campervan, you can swallow all that you taste without having to drive until the following morning!

Domain Alain Vignot are in a quiet village with a restaurant, so it makes an ideal stop near the beginning or end of your vehicle hire.

They are over 2,000 winegrowers, farmers and craftsmen and women (many of whom speak English) who welcome you in your campervan or motorhome across France, so there are plenty of opportunities to discover the real France and enjoy this excellent scheme.
