How old is too old to hire a campervan?

Since we launched France Motorhome Hire in 2009, we have been pretty perplexed by upper age limits in hire insurance as our more senior hirers are less likely not more likely to have accidents in our experience. Until 2014 the age limit was 70 then it changed to 75 last year.

We are delighted to report that there is no longer an upper age limit restriction to hire our vehicles and one of our recommended excess reduction insurance suppliers is also now offering cover for drivers of up to 85 years old – World Wide Insure.

We welcome senior drivers and you are never too old to hire a campervan in our view, even if the car hire companies think you are too old to drive a car (many still decline drivers of over 70!).
