We are often asked how to find campsites with the best environment, facilities and atmosphere for family groups so we thought we’d simply tell you which websites The FMH Team use when planning trips with our families.
Family friendly campsites provide a safe and comfortable environment to park your motorhome overnight and they are especially good in France
Just as there are certain hotels and restaurants where you feel comfortable and relaxed with your children and some that you certainly don’t, campsites are the same so it pays to head for sites where you will be made welcome and your fellow campers will be smiling rather than scowling when your kids hit maximum, holiday excitement volume!
Family friendly campsites will typically be very secure, have great facilities for children and also attract other families so it’s worth heading for these to ensure everyone can relax and have a great time. It is great to spend time in a totally safe environment with tons of outdoor space where you can let your kids explore unsupervised while you relax and have some you time.
Family friendly campsites will often have pools and waterslides with lifeguards so your children can enjoy them without your supervision

Many family friendly campsites will offer facilities to entertain your children so they can play together in sight of you sipping a cool drink back at your campervan
If you are coming outside of the summer continental school holidays (July and August), you generally don’t need to book ahead but if you come during those months it’s best to secure your spot before you come as the best campsites get booked up months ahead for the summer school break.
Like campsites, motorhome rental companies get booked in July and August too so why not book your family sized motorhome now to get your first choice of vehicle before they are all gone?
